Hurricane Ida Recovery and Resources

Hi!

I hope this email finds you and your loved ones safe. This has been a difficult week for our community, and I am keeping you close in my thoughts.

Hurricane Ida left New Orleans completely in the dark, and most of us will go days without power. My office has been operating an emergency food, water, and tarp distribution site at the Arthur Monday Center in Algiers, and we need volunteers. If you would like to help or for more information, call Zach Monroe at (504) 508-0783. Volunteers' hours are from 11:30 AM to 4 PM. We hope to see you there. There are also other essential resources available this week, and I've included them below.

FIRST AID STATION

Services will be limited and include oxygen exchange, minimal prescribing ability, medical device charging, and other basic health assessments.

  • No medications will be available on site. 24/7
